Oranges A-B-C

All this talk about orange roses had me looking thru my pics from last yr. I didn't realize just how many there are! Of course some are coral-ish and some are apricot-ish.

    Beth,

You know I'm not a huge fan of oranges, but oh my! The "bronzes" really get to me. Bronze star is so delicate looking-I want to brush the petals across my face. Bronze sunset is striking, Bettina is very unusual. Thanks for sharing : )

    Beth,
I'm with Jen here.. can you tell us about Bronze Star? I just love the color and ruffles! Is she fragrant and will she be a good cut for the vase? :0) Phyl
BTW, all your photos are breathtaking, but Bronze Star truly took my breath away!

Once again you post such lovely pictures. I have been trying to get bronze star for two years via hortico (back order). I think I need to find another source. I liked bronze sunset and actually all of the others posted. What a beautiful selection.
    Thanks,
    Liane

    Liane,
I noticed that Roses Unlimited has Bronze Star listed on their website, if you are interested in an alternate source. I purchased 4 roses from them two years ago, and all came healthy and strong and beautiful. :0) Phyl

Well, you guys, HMF has a rather large list of sources for BRONZE STAR, altho I don't know how accurate it is, because they still list Arena Roses, and they closed up their business the end of 2006. Regan's definitely has it tho. You guys are gonna shoot me, cuz, I got mine last yr at Home Depot in their $3.99 giant box-bin of bagged bareroots. They're supposed to be non-patented roses, but they always have several patented ones in the mix, and last yr it was one of them!
As for the lovely BRONZE SUNSET, that is a Coiner rose that I've only ever seen at HD, but I guess anybody that carries Coiner roses could potentially carry it also. But I know of no place online to find the Coiner roses. I'm surprised that Regan's doesn't have them, because they order from many different suupliers.

I'm blown away by all these pictures Beth has posted, first the purples and now the oranges. New to this forum I wouldn't know how many you have posted in the past but have you ever shown pix of your garden as a whole? I'd love to see that, especially if you have 1000 roses. I can't picture how many roses that is in a landscape. Must be stunning.

    Oh Yes beautiful oranges

Last weekend I picked up a bunch of Bronze Sunset tree roses at Costco - $15.99 per tree! A bargain for a tree rose. Does anyone know if this rose is resistant to desease, powdery mildew, black spot, etc.? I know nothing about it, just liked the color.

The pics are so vivid and beautiful. I know this is a rose forum but wanted to ask what type of camera and film are you using. Did you take the pics? If so, are you a professional? If not, you may have missed your calling. Great pics and beautiful roses.

Pamelou, if I remember correctly, I think my BRONZE SUNSET gets a little bit of B/S in the early season. Actually, you can even see it in my picture!

Taureau, thanks for the nice compliment! No I'm not a professional, but these are my photos. I have an older Sony Cybershot DSC-F717 digital camera. I love it. It has a lot of functions that I don't even use, but I got it mainly because I had just gotten a Sony computer and could easily download the memory stick; plus it has a pretty good Macro lens. Something that is absolutely essential to photographing roses!!
