Any mold can be harmful it all depends on the person consuming it. Some of the super hots just do that i run across a couple pods here and there and just toss them out it's not worth the risk you could save the brown seeds and try to grow them out but i wouldn't its better to use healthy seed stock what type of peppers are you growing ?

No super hots here: Guajillo, Cascabella, Leutschauer Paprika,Thai Bird, Sm. Vietnamese Hot, and Piri-Piri will be the ones I'm drying. It won't be a problem to get my seed. I am growing many varieties to determine which ones I really will use.And have them as permanent grow outs.Super hots are not on my list, lol.Also getting a feel for how many plants produce how much produce. Just roasted some Heritage 6-4 (Hatch) tonight, really stoked to see how they taste! They smell great!!
