Egg method for new rooted plants?

Hi, I just received my order from Maui gardens - 4 rooted plants and 2 cuttings. I am going to try the egg method on the cuttings but what about the rooted ones? Is the egg method beneficial for them? Still plenty of heat and sun here. 100 degrees yesterday! Thanks for the help! Claire
