This time of year in my zone 9a/b Florida some of the mini's have blooms the size of OGRs but will be normal size in summer.Walmarts carries a good line of shrub time minis but you have to order the others.

May have been a miniature known as Sunlit.

I looked up Sunlit, could find nothing on it. Can you tell me anything about it? Do the blooms continue to be this big? Its a beautiful plant!

My apologies, I mixed my roses up. I meant to post that it could be a Poulsen miniature called "Sun Hit". I always say Sun Lit, but that's cause I'm an idiot. :)

I have this miniature growing in a pot indoors and it will be planted in the garden this spring. Yes, the blooms are consistently 1.5" to 2" across and fully double.

Sun Hit is classified as a Patio rose and not a pure miniature.

May I also add I am getting totally fed-up with all you warm weather folk posting about the roses already planted in your garden. We still have at least a foot of snow here!!!! Darn you all..... Really, just so jealous cause I have a bad case of spring fever.... :)

I can't speak to its disease resistance or hardiness yet, but i can say it is very vigorous and a very quick repeater, even when grown in a sunny indoor location. I would suspect it will be even more so once planted outdoors.

I was at WalMart 2 weeks ago and they had 1 mini rose for $2.60,it looked real healthy so I got it. It has 6 buds now and just gorgeous, it is a Orange Kordana according to the tag. I don't think I will put it out here until June 15th as I have been surprised by frost that late before, it should be fine then. Thanks for listening. Carol
