I don't grow any tree rose standards, but I have heard and read that Gourmet Popcorn makes a good standard.

Vineyard Song would make a very nice tree rose. It does droop. Lullaby also has a droopy habit as does Nostalgia.

I've always wanted a micro mini tree. Elfin Glo or Sun Gold would look awesome as a mini standard. Too cute.

Baby Grand would make an excellent tree rose.

I think Hot Tamale would be a gorgeous standard! Of course, that might be because I have a huge bush that is never not in bloom :)

This is my Vinyard Song, planted last year an own root from Uncommon Rose. As you can see it has long canes that droop. I think it would make a great tree. Also, Sweet Chariot should be considered.

Dana, how big are the blooms on Vineyard Song?

I want one of these on a 24" standard!

Sweet Chariot is wonderful. My only mistake is not finding it as a full-size, tall standard. This mini standard gets 5 feet across and needs heavy staking.

iDixieRose, the blooms on vineyard song are small but they are in a cluster like grapes, making the blooms look bigger.
