Hello Everyone!!!!

Jen.. It does still have beautiful coloration, but I think it would be even more impressive in the heat of the summer. I did have a small flower at the beginning of this inflo opening and it was gorgeous. I am still thrilled though!!!

Hi Roxanne!! I think it would do fine in your area!! I just wish you could see the deep colors that I had on the first bloom. I had to pry it open when it dropped off the tree. I was bummed it aborted early, but impressed at the color. Heat and humidity definitely make a difference... IMO. :-)

"OH, MY!" That is what just came out the minute I saw it! I had no idea the blooms are that big! Now it is definitely going on the top of my list for next season! Who am I kidding...no downsizing here!! :-) My pupils are the shape of hearts! I'm in LOVE!

I am sure shes making you feel the Aloha, since all the others are napping. Well if I had to just have 1 plumie blooming JL Metallica would be one of the top contenders.

An established mature Metallica does excellent in cooler coastal temps. Even in the coldest temps 70's she will still look lavender pink. My Metallica does have some months where the colors are intense and saturated. I always stated Metallica is one of the few Purples that will perform in the the cool coastal areas. You will not be disappointed.
