I have not planted this rose, but one of my rose books recommends it highly for a hedge type rose. It states that it is vigorous, and easy to grow, and the pictures look great. Maybe someone else can help you with their expertise.

I have planted this rose. In fact I have two of it. I cannot recommend it to anybody enough. The flowers can be large if you disbud some sidebuds, two inches wide sometimes. The flower form is good and the flowers just smell heavenly. I think it has what some people call "China rose growth habit" since it likes to send up new shoots that go way above the plant with a candelebra of flowers. I like it so much that I bought one for my sister too, and a friend of mine asks me to buy one for her next time I buy mini's. It is one of the fastest repeat bloomer I have seen and has excellent flower production.
I am not sure about disease resistance since I spray my roses every other week. I suspect it is average. I have an old American Rose Society Buying guide that breaks down rating for different regions. It gets a rating of 8.2 for southwest area where I am in, but only 7.x for colder regions. It may not be very hardy.

st rose: Do you have a picture from your garden? I have decided to give her a try with crossed fingers that she survive in my climate.

I have a small one out in my garden (planted August last season) in a sheltered location and it survived winter. It was covered completely with wood chips. However, I should disclaim that we didn't have a terribly cold winter - down to about -5.

Michelle: Our winter last year was mild as well, however this year it was terribly cold with good snow coverage. I am counting on the snow to provide a nice blankie to keep her warm.
