I got Sleeping Beauty maybe 2 years ago. It was sort of slow to establish. I have other mini's that I like better, but maybe the 3rd year will be the charm?

I got a Sleeping Beauty instead of another rose I ordered. It is a mini flora and it does well in the heat. We had many days in the 90's. It's not a heavy bloomer, and will get to 4' high.

I do spray. So knowing that, here's some favorites: Bees Knees, Erin Alonso, Baby Boomer, Hilde, Soroptomist International, Memphis King, Autumn Splendor, Vista, Ty, Buttercream, Dr. John Dickman, Conundrum, Teddy Bear, and Whirlaway. My daughter likes single petals and last year we got Gizmo. The stamens seem to darken fast, but the bush probably "always" had some blooms on it.

I was eying Sleeping Beauty, but if it's slow to repeat or not that prolific, I'll pass. Denise, you might consider the top-rated mini, Pierrine. It's pink, but a slightly orangy pink that approaches salmon. Anyway, except for lack of fragrance, I think it's just about perfect; a real workhorse of a bloomer, and faultless exhibition form. Mine is just a little over 2 feet tall, round and very bushy. It doesn't seem to mind the heat at all. I'm actually planning to purchase it's color sport, Sweet Melody, probably this coming fall.

Dr. Troy Garrett or Memphis Blues are both minifloras that are a red/mauve color. Memphis Music is another one is a deep red. I know that MM does do fairly well with sparse water.

I'm sorry to hear Sleeping Beauty is not doing as well for you in the warmer zones. Around here it is almost constantly in bloom and it only grows to 3 feet tall, but it can take full sun and extremely dry conditions, once it is established.
