Thank you for the link cayahogakid. I guess my plant shows the "grossness" of hybridizing too large a flower for the plant. :)

That may not be true; that the flowers are too large for the plant. It has been my experience that the first bloom(s) on a miniature rose can be larger or even a little bit distorted. I always like to give the rose time to prove its worth. The little roses may just be in too much of a hurry to make flowers.

Thank you for that information cayahogakid. Pictures show beautiful roses that stand straight up. I wondered why mine didn't. The other roses in the pot stood up straight, just this one didn't. I appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge with me.
