Okay, this is a stupid question, but when and by how much do I prune my larger minis? The smaller guys, Scentsational and Red Scentsation, don't need significant pruning, but I have two Sorcerers that are getting a little ungainly. Specifically, they've each got one cane that's much larger than the others, to the extent that it threatens to overbalance the pot. Do I just whack it back (at an outward facing bud of course) until it's in proportion to the others, or what? Will hard pruning encourage a basal break? I have little or no cold damage on my roses, with the exception of poor little Sweet Concertino.
