Magic Carousel

Couldn't help myself and while I was picking up some veggies at my local nursery, picked up a mini rose....not that I have any room for more roses....but I figure since it's a mini, I'll just pot it up and keep it on my back steps where it should get enough sun. It's called "Magic Carousel", anybody have experience with it? The label says it has a "mild" fragrance.

Thanks!

Magic Carrousel {{gwi:1206716}} (thumbnail, click to see full photo) has been a blooming fool for us since 2001. {{gwi:1202180}} takes the cold like a champ and is usually among the last of our roses to quit blooming in the fall. MC does get about 3 ft tall x 3 ft wide for us. I had been warned how large it gets and did give it plenty of room. At least they said mild fragrance. It is very mild and I have to get very close to detect it. Fragrance is there. It just doesn't knock my socks off. I keep hoping foliage will get thicker on MC but have my doubts it will. I like thick, lush foliage and our MC is always on the lanky side. {{gwi:1206722}} Deb loves the critter and I like it. Don't know why it hasn't grabbed me. The foliage and mild fragrance are the only bad things I can say about it. It really is a very good rose for us.
Rosy Dawn (MC x MC) is on the way here because Deb likes MC so much.

It's pretty popular, and as dave shows, a good bloomer. A cheerful looking plant. Todd, which nursery (if you don't mind my asking)? We need to find a new one for my mom, and if they have produce too that's a big plus.

I love It! It is almost never without blooms, I had no disease problems,( I do spray ) It has wintered beautifully for 4 years with just a couple of shovelfuls of mulch thrown on it! It is a nice compact mounded bush in my garden. I don't notice any fragrance.

Just wanted to add that a few buds have bloomed, and I do notice a mild rose scent. I do have to pretty much put my nose on the petals, but it *is* there. Which is nice.

I love it so much so far, the inch wide blooms are so cute! It's a Weeks own-root, according to the label. It has quite a few buds, at least a dozen or more. hehe...it's getting me real excited about adding a few more mini's to my garden. Don't have much, if any, room left in the ground tho, so if/when I do get more minis, they'll all go into pots.

Trying to talk my dear wife into going tomorrow or Monday to pick up one or 2 more ;) Should wrote down what varities the nursery had, so I coulda asked here for advice on which ones to choose...o well...MC seems to be working out pretty good, considering it's only been mine for about a week.
