graft question

I thought I remember reading that you can bury the graft into the soil? I just transplanted my nice Bill Moragne that George found for me in July. He is now in a deeper and wider I think 15 gallon plastic pot, soon to be painted Cobalt. Just hope I have not screwed anything up by putting him in lower. mahalos, roxanne

Hi Roxanne !!

I don't think it would be an issue as long as it has healed and is a solid graft. If it was open and could be damaged by water or fungus, then I would worry. But if it is established, it should be fine., some of mine are buried right at the graft as well..

Good luck, I bet it looks awesome. Especially in the " Colbat ". ;-)

There is still about an inch Laura before the graft hits the soil and it is an old callused one at that. I always appreciate your "know how"...mahalos, roxanne
