What are some LARGE minis?

I bought too many minis! (I bet this is a common problem! LOL)

So, I want to put a few in my mixed perennial borders. Which ones are large enough to be noticeable there?

Depends, which ones did you get?

You can use Mini Floras or the larger bloom minis like Soroptmist International and Chattoga. As a back border plant Jean Kenneally and Irresistible. These will work as they are tall. Of course living where you live any rose is tall!!

Hi Karen, Holy cow you did get a lot of roses, very nice ones too! Here's the help I can offer up.
Tangerine Jewel is one of my favorites, but it's not a mini. It's a Hybrid Bracteata and will get up to 3'tall x 3'wide.
Cal Poly is another of mine a bright cheerful yellow and will get up to 18", maybe 2' tall with a lot of sun. That's not going to be a really tall one for you. Irresistible will get up to 3'tall and almost that wide.
    Bee's Knees about 3'tall.
Jean Kenneally, X-Rated will both get up to 3' tall and X-rated possibly taller and wider than that.
    Tiny Petals 2-3'tall.

My largest are the minis Soroptimist International, Incognito, Olympic Gold. and Bees Knees and the mini-floras Conundrum and Leading Lady. Ferrin was a biggie, it was larger than some floribundas (Soroptimist is larger than the floribunda Miami Moon).

Dr. John Dickman, Leading Lady, Autumn Splendor, Camden, and Ricky Hendricks are the biggest mini/mini-flora's in my garden. All are good growers and good bloomers for me and seem to have established themselves very easily and quickly this spring.

You've probably planted them all by now, but these would look good with bigger plants:

    Cal Poly
    Carnival Glass
    Magic Carrousel
    Playgold
    Red Sunblaze

Actually, I have followed all the good directions here. I potted them into larger pots and then moved them up to gallons. They have been growing well. I will plant them in October. So, I am glad for all of the advice still!

Dr. Troy Garrett and Best of '04 and Autumn Splendor and some great roses. Along with Memphis Blues, they are my largest bushes.
