What did they taste like?

I didn't note anything about the taste except that it was quite hot. I grew another pepper,but from Australia, last year simply called Oz pepper and it was very similar.

The leaves look to be veriegated, are they green, white & purple/pink? I have a similar plant from seeds I bought from Pine Tree Seeds in Maine, called Tri-Fetta. I haven't tried the peppers yet, they're smaller than yours, the ends are blunt and fruit shape somewhat irregular. The leaves range from mostly green w/ purple & white to mostly white with darker specks/splotches of purple. I'll try to get a photo soon. I just potted them to bring indoors in a week or two.

I've grown TriFetti and believe it's a different pepper. Here are a few more with variegated foliage.

Since peppers cross pollinate, could your pepper be a hybrid with the Tri Fette as a parent? The leaf pattern looks very similar to mine, with the white growth sprouting out at once, after the green/white/purple leaves. Your peppers are longer than mine currently are, but I think my plant is younger too, as it's only 2 ft tall.

The Hawaiian Purple is really pretty! I think a hybrid of the Tiger & Hawaiian would give larger fruit and the lovely foliage of both. The others are also quite unique, you surely have a wonderful collection!

Or Tri-Fette the offspring of two other peppers? No way to tell. There are thousands of peppers and there are a lot more variegated peppers and the variegation varies from plant to plant even with the same variety. I have one that has a white/green and a white/purple form and they even have different pod shapes.

I have some Purple Tigers around from last year. They look and taste as John describes. Very attractive plants, plenty of heat but not much flavour. Mine have proven to be very cold tolerant... they didn't seem to notice winter at all this year.
