what was this "reputable website"?

Could you get close up pics of the pods?

Mark

The weird thing is that the ones I thought were red are more like a darker orange.

hmmmm, seeds came from where?

the orange ones look like they woulda gone red, given more time. again, what was this reputable website you got them from?

Sounds like a few batches of seed got mixed up. Ive never seed a jamacian chocolate ripen from yellow to chocolate. Looks like some yellow bhut got mixed in with the red. Only way to know is taste them. I would doubt the yellow will ripen red.

I got the ghost peppers from bhut-peppers.com. I ordered the jamaican hot chocolates from I think it was amazon. I kinda chucked my Jamaicans up as them just being habanaros. The ones I thought were Jamaicans turned yellow to orange. The orange ghost peppers have been orange for about two weeks with the exception of about two of them that have been orange for a couple days. Did I pull those off too early?? It's just weird to me that as random as we planted them in the potter, the plants to the left of the habanaros turned orange and the half on the right turned yellow. Oh and I'm so disappointed about those Jamaicans. I really wanted to taste those.

The orange ones look like partially ripe bhuts. They will fully ripen on the counter in a about a week.

The yellow ones are almost certainly fatalii.

Thanks! I never knew about the fatalii. I honestly think that's what they are. I've never eaten a bhut yet but the yellow one didn't have the heat I would imagine for a bhut. The oranges ones still haven't turned red yet.

I agree with Dennis, the yellow look like fatali. around the same heat as a habanero. very popular pepper, good taste. if you read this dennis, shoot me an email
