2nd UPDATE to What am I doing wrong?

1st I want to thank all of you for the advise regarding Osmocote, looking back over the high temps we have had here (hi 80's and frequent 90's) I am inclined to believe it is the culprit.

2nd I am happy to say that the one I cut back (waaaay back) has lots of new healthy growth. I also removed as much of the Osmocote that I could find! The plant that was suffering from red leaves that then went crunchy and fell off, I just cut it back as well and will be working on removing as much Osmocote as I can from it too.

3rd, I will figure out how to post pics here, I have seen others do it, so I know it is possible,,,lol. and put some before and afters up for you.

Finally, can I have y'alls opinion regarding cypress mulch vs peat moss around roses? Which is better?

Yes, its possible, but you must first upload your photo to one of the file sharing photo services like Photo Bucket or Flickr. Once you have done that, you copy the URL where the image is located on the Web and paste it inside the correct HTML, as follows:

Where you will replace everything inside the double quotes with the exact web address (URL) of your photo. This line of code is posted in your text post just as you would any other line of text.
