I have a few thoughts for you. Its generally suggested that roses get at least 6 hours of sun per day. It could be getting leggy if it isn't getting enough sun. Hopefully someone else will chime in about pruning it; I'm still working that out myself.

Regarding its blooms - in half day shade, the blossoms probably aren't getting sun bleached unless you're actually seeing them brown/crisp around the edges. I've found with a few minis that their bloom form/color can change as they mature. Also, the air temperature seems to affect color on some roses.

Regarding your pests - do a search here on "rose slugs" and see if the pictures people have posted match your damage. Without seeing it, that's my best guess. I Googled it, found a site that says,"Young rose slugs turn rose leaves to skeletons, leaving a clear layer of tissue that eventually turns brown."

Your little plant was probably grown in a greenhouse before you purchased it. When grown outside, the bloom colors can vary widely, due to the amount of direct sunlight it receives.

I'd add to make sure that you're cutting to an outside facing 5 leaflet to ensure you get new growth in that direction:)

You can also try washing off your roses a couple of times a week top and bottom leaves. It helps keep them clean and wash off pests. This is better done in the morning when the leaves can dry off during the day.

My opinion sometimes the heat can make your roses change color. You may find that cooler weather may give you back your lavender roses.
