Miniature Roses

Baby Grand

Hi everyone!

I'm new to mini roses, I want to add at least 3 or four to my existing rose beds. I have Pam Tillis on my list, and I love the color of Baby Grand. Does anyone grow this one, is it fragrant at all and how does it fare w/disease? I'm also looking for a small dark apricot color mini, one that stays small. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Baby Grand rates very high with the ARS (8.6) and it's on my wish list for next year too. Hopefully someone will post here giving more information on her. Can't help you on your apricot mini. The height of your minis would be different from mine because of our long growing season.

I bought a lot of mini's and rabbits ate many down to 3" or less over the first winter, and many didn't ever seem to recover, so I rescued some and put them in pots. Baby Grand was one I rescued last year and it is blooming well now- about 7 lovely blooms and more coming. I can't really detect any fragrance. Most of the mini's didn't do well in the ground. I am trying to root cuttings of some of the few that did.
