Shishito/wrinkled old man pepper?
My shishito looked like that BUT a lot of peter peppers don't grow pods that look as advertised...

Here is a link that might be useful: Shishito

Smokemaster, thanks for the info. It looks like Shishito! I was expecting pepper as advertised as you said. What to do with this pepper?

Green they are not hot,red they warmed up.Still not that hot imo.
Stir fry,Salads,Pickled...

These look like some I grew from seeds labeled as Ancient Sweet, some getting 6 or 7 inches long. Often twisted in shape and very grooved. I got the seeds in an exchange so I didn't know what to expect anyway. I also grow Peter pepper and mine look like what they are supposed to. Anyone grow ancient sweet and know if mine are accurately labeled?

From whom did you purchase these "peter peppers"?
Did the seller call them peter peppers?

Or was the guy just named Peter and you were buying his peppers?

E Mail Beth.

I've never had problems with her seeds.

But accidents do happen sometimes.
She used to sell wrinkled old man seeds,I wonder if your seeds got mixed up with them.
I grew out all 3 colors of Peter Peppers from her seeds and they were true/pure seeds.
peter Peppers don't always put out the desired shape of pepper but a few do always look like they are supposed to.

Wrinkled old man and Shishito are the same thing.
Since she sold both there might have been a mix up...

Have to agree. It's been years for me but all my seeds from peppermania were good and true.

I talk to Beth on the Phone every so often.
She really cares about her customers.
I'd E mail her.
She is a really great Lady.
I'm sure she'll straighten things out with you.
Send her your pics in your E mail.

Thanks! I'll email Beth.
