The rose is getting too much water. Roses do not like to have their roots sit in water. They prefer well drained soil. The leaves turning yellow is a symptom of over watering. If you keep it in the vase it will eventually die. Pot it in soil or plant it out in the garden and it will have a better chance of surviving.
