I've never really grown minis before other than an occasional few in various pots or planters. I have a circular pool around a three tiered fountain that I have tried various other flowering plants such as dahlias and hardy geraniums and verbenas etc. but have just never been content with the result. The area is somewhat formal so I'm trying to pick minis both for shrub shape and flower color. I'd like them to be 12-18" or so and sort of compact and mounding.

My local supplier seems to stock a lot of what Weeks carries so I've been looking at using a combination of around a dozen from these varieties to circle the fountain......

I'd really like this to be my "LAST" fountain experiment so any advice would be muchly appreciated :-)
