Second picture: A Thai variety. I like this group because the trunk grew so straight.

Third picture: Kung Pao. Someday, I hope to see lots of long red peppers hanging down from the tree.

Fourth picture: Tabasco. This one was hardest to grow for me. They don't like my area for some reason. I hope they survive the winter.

Fifth picture: 4 on left - Thai Hot. 2 on right - Jalapeno.
Not so great. Couldn't get their trunk to grow tall before branching.

By the way, how does one post multiple pictures on ONE post, instead of replying to oneself in order to post additional pictures???

You can add the pictures using Cool plants btw, do you just prune them straight up?

@pepper_rancher, Thanks for the picture tip.

And yes, I prune most of them - the ones that started from seeds in pots. When the plant starts to branch, I just pull out my X-acto blade and nip off the baby side shoots. If the top tip split into two or three branches, I pick the fat one, cut off the skinnier one, and use strings to pull the fat one back up straight.

Some other pepper plants (like the Thai variety) grew straight with one trunk on their own. They came out from my garden bed, which btw, I mistakenly grew so many seeds in one small area (it was like a small jungle). I spotted the nice straight ones in the mix and pull them out to pot them.

I'm hoping all will turn nice and hard and survive the winter. I'll let them fruit next year.

...and all these Habaneros and Bhut Jolokia I'm seeing on this site is getting me all giddy for next year. I just got to find a reputable place to buy the seeds.

what kind of seeds are you looking for? many posters (myself included) will happily send you seeds.

I've got chocolate bhut and orange hab I can send. Plus some insainly hot unknown cross if you want.
