4th of July Seedlings

After killing my first 4 seedlings I'm thrilled (and taking extra care) of these 4. They are all 4th of July open pollinated seedlings.

My question (and you know there's always going to be a question with me LOL) is it usual for them to start "branching" out already? If you look closely the middle one has 2 "canes". The 2nd one is coming up with that new growth red color that I saw on my yard roses this past year. Just curious if this is normal.(Feel free to correct my terminology)
