Rose Propagation & Exchange

green stem, small roots...but

no growth. I stuck this cutting last February, it rooted, spent the summer outside, back inside again for the winter, and still no new growth.

It is a florists rose that came in a bouquet from my sister last year to my father, and I was hopeing to get 'something', but at present all I have is a rooted stick. Could it have been treated with something to prevent it from growing? I do not want to give up on it, but it is getting really nerve racking taking care of it and nothing is happening.

Any suggestions?

Maybe it sounds silly but did you try Superthrive, Seaweed, Messenger and alfalfa?

Are there any bud eyes visible? If so then there is hope yet. If no bud eyes are visible, I would expose part of the root to light and hope for the best.

I am also thinking of fertilizer, may start with a very dilute solution.

There are bud eyes, but they have done nothing.
