This is disappointing. I have Leopold Ritter, and I plan to dig it up this summer because it is horribly susceptible to blackspot in my hot-humid climate. I hate to see what could be a good rose somewhere else go to waste ... but those pesky plant importation laws get in the way. Can bare cuttings or bare-root rooted cuttings be legally shipped to and from Canada? I buy bare root roses from Canada every year, so it can't be THAT hard. If so, Leo, you and I will see what we can do.

Thanks for letting me know. It is easier to get roses int the US than int Canada. First it takes Phytosanitary certificate from the sender and then an import license on this end. This makes too expensive to import just one rose.
As for the blackspot it is not a problem here, maybe too cold in winter and too short of a summer.
Hopefully one will still show up here in Canada
