Trying to get an idea as to how many people actually want minis on Fortuniana. I can only think of a couple people in Fl at the moment.

How big would a mini on Fort get, would it be unusually large? Perhaps one of the mini chinas as rootstock would resist nematodes and be drought tolerant without the extra size of Fort? Just my inexperienced thoughts.

minis on fortuniana do tend to be larger and bloom more. Chinas may actually be a good way to go. I have never saw a rose on a china rootstock for Florida, though, it may work pretty well. I have a few monster climbers / ramblers in my yard that are pretty thornless, and are own root. My worries would be about the same as your question Cathy, I guess it really can not hurt to try it though. Thank You
