In order to obtain a hardy rose:

if you cross something with a zone 3 hardiness with a zone 5 or 6 zone rose, would it be better to have the hardiest rose as the seed parent or the pollen parent, in order to get something hardier? Hopefully some of the experts will give me some feedback. Thanks.
