Why are you in such a hurry ? If it were me I'ld let them get a first bloom for best energy and than replant. My neighbor thought he had dug up all his roses around the street and his big bushes just took over and hid those areas from the light . Eventhough he moved those roses back than to another area you would not believe how healthy and what blooms are still working. So this sounds like your roses under the trees. But than again if the weather is nice and no more snow or cold go for it and see if it works.

I'm in no hurry. I just wonder if they might start to suffer with the low light on the north side of the house. I'm not exactly sure where they would go in my garden yet, so I suppose I'll leave them under the trees for a while and see how they do.
