Heirloom roses has John Davis in stock, but is showing out of stock on Lambert Closse. Call and ask if the might have a spare of LC available for sale.

I got my two John Davis from Hirt's Gardens online a few weeks ago. They were each $9.99 and the shipping was really reasonable. They came in really great condition and even had flowers on them already. I really recommend them!

Perfect! I just ordered 1! I also broke down and got Lambert Closse and Morden Blush from another company. I'm tired of the other so called 'hardy' roses that die over the winter. These 3 new roses are a sure bet in my zone!

Since people like to describe hybrid teas are hardy to zone 4, you really have to buy repeat blooming roses listed as hardy to zone 3 to get roses that are hardy to zone 5.

The rules are different for once bloomers. I've had roses listed as 5b make it through -30 without any problems.

It doesn't make sense, but a lot about current rose growing doesn't make sense.

Well the John davis arrived and it doesn't look good at all. Yellow leaves, missing leaves and no blooms. thegardenat902, are you a hirt's employee?

Try planting it and giving it some time to grow. Conditions inside a box are not easy on plants and unless it was a large potted plant you really don't want it to bloom yet. It needs time and energy to grow roots
