I have a mystery.... I have a neglected area of my yard where I have a compost pile, store my pots, etc. Yesterday, to my surprise, along the fence in that area I found a small rose bush growing and blooming - it was a dead ringer for "Red Cascade", which is growing about 50 feet away I know for a fact that I did not discard any trimmings there; the only way it could have propagated in that spot is by some animal carrying the seeds - maybe a squirrel gnawing on a hip. But would a cultivar come true from seed?
