I don't know what an aerogrow is, but I have a friend who has tried rose cuttings in a bubble cloner, and it has not been successful thus far.

I looked at the Aerogrow at one point, but the cost scared me away. You can root roses (and other things) using peat, perlite, a half-gallon milk jug, and a two-liter soda bottle ... way cheap.

There's a step-by-step photo tutorial on my web site, linked below. This was the first method that really worked for me ... and other GW members have also used it quite successfully. Beware, once you start to root roses, it can get a bit addictive. :)

I have been trying to use my Aerogrow (it was an xmas present) on rose cuttings for about half a year now. I get roots on about half the cuttings I put in it, but I have yet to get a single plant to transfer successfully to real potting soil. There's something about the roots that sprout in water that just can't seem to make that transition. I'm still trying. Most recently I've set up a little mister with it.

Has anyone ever gotten roots that sprouted in a hydroponic system to transfer over to pots? PULLEASE, PULLEASE -- pass on some info on how you did that.
