winter shock/ overwintering

i need to know if you guys/gals think this will work.

i just brought in a couple of my pepper plants from this year that did extremely well. choc. scotch bonnet is about 4-1/2 feet tall and well branched. another is a peruvian white hab., that got to be about 3-1/2 feet tall and very bushy. i have alot more outside ready to bring in if it's not to late to save them (12 varieties). the scotch bonnet has unfortunately lost most of its leaves, but the hab looks great still.

i really just want to know if they will survive and grow indoors under my light system, or just die off. i have a 1000 watt dual ballast halide/sodium system.

they should go through a pretty rough shock bringing directly indoors under these lights, and big temp change (outside temps have been high of 45/ low of 30) for this week so far. indoor temps are normally around 75-80.

do you think i'm wasting my time tring to keep them alive, or should i just start over?
