This kitchen is built out of solid cherry with a catalyzed arnish finish. Since these photos were taken, the color has mellowed to a richer tone, more fully saturated in reds and yellows. Most wood species do this with exposure to sunlight (UV), but cherry and pine make a particular transformation.
We have used a white paint wipe after first sealing when clients have a preference for a lighter final color.
