I just purchased a tecoma stans elata from an online
nursery, and was startled by it's familiar leaves. I'm
hoping it is indeed a different species, or flower than
the "cape honeysuckle" tecomaria capensis that is currently
growing in my garden (I have yellow and orange). The photo
of the tecoma stans elata flowers looked more "trumpet" or
"bell" shaped, while my familiar cape flowers are more
"slipper shaped". I'm sorry if I'm sounding like a blundering idot here...just hoping that I didn't spend a
good sum on something I have already in abundance.
