On a related topic, is there a south africa specific search engine?

I haven't seen one. I'm collecting the links because there are good ones posted but they disappear, with the post. I will make webpages of the links, if/when there is enough.

www.ananzi.co.za is the South African Search Engine.

Not sure how useful for plant related things. www.tiscali.co.za has a section on gardening, not too bad.

There is a site called GISA - S. A.`s Green Search Engine . I would rate it at 25 out of 100 . It lists quite a few green sites but is far from comprehensive in any sense. Have a look . www.gisa.co.za

A more comprehensive listing can be found at Braby`s S.A. Business Directory . Search at the home page in the Category Search box for Nurseries. There are many more entries. The majority do not have web sites but quite a few have an email address.
