Crown gall seems to be more of a hazard to plants from the rose family than the daisy family, so it could be worth a try.

If you're thinking of growing Paris daisy - which is what the plant looks like - ensure it has good drainage and plenty of sun. Once they're established they are generally quite drought-resistant although they won't decline a drink in summer.

If you're not quite sure - take a couple of cuttings over the summer. They are usually easy to get to form roots and grow on.

I have a tree topiary style one that is in a pot (it's the same kind as pictured) and it really has outgrown it and since there are two tree roses where I want to plant it I figured it would fit in. I have found these plants to be quite tolerant of heat and freezing temps! The only down side it they have their ugly side when you cut them back to keep it in a topiary shape :). Thanks again!
