I've been trying to germinate several dietes vegeta seeds via the baggie method for a couple of weeks, but none have sprouted. Do they require something else--light, chilling, scarification, heat? Or do they normally take a long time to sprout? The only germination references on the web say they self-seed easily, so I'm bummed about my lack of results.

I'd prefer to find established plants, but haven't seen any in local nurseries (some have the bicolor, but not vegeta or grandiflora). I'm in the Austin area--does anyone out there know of a nearby source?
