It has been done only once. It was with 'Vico Yellow' from the Nakamura stock in Japan. It has never been done since. I have never found any published information on the subject.
From what I know, tissue cultured plants take longer to mature than seedlings so it really is not cost effective since seed production is pretty low cost.
