I'm wondering if anyone has attempted to propagate Galtonias via leaf cuttings. I've had very good success using this method with Eucomis, sticking 2-3" cuttings of the strappy leaves (growing end down) into the medium, but have never tried it with Galtonias. I'm particularly interested in propagating G. princeps, which bloomed, but did not set seed this year. I don't really want to risk my only bulb of this species to scaling or scooping, which are the only other vegetative methods I can think of. Any information would be appreciated.
