Does anyone know where I find can this plant?: Musanga cecropiodes. It looks like a Schefflera but is a different plant. I saw it in a book and love it. Thanks, Cat -- Oh yea! I have a greenhouse. I know it would'nt be hardy here.
Where did you get that name? There is no such thing here. Just got the new Southern African plant checklist (a 1200 page book), and nothing in there comes even close. The closest I can come up with is 'Musaunga', which is the Venda name for Acacia sieberiana. But this can't be the plant you are after.
Maddy, I may have found a source. Here is a link that may be useful. http://sky.yage.net/ghana.html Go to extensive plants list number 16. I have emailed them to see if I can have it sent to the US. Cat
My source fell through. They must send a minimum of 10 kilos, which is a little over 22lbs. They didn't say what this would cost but I'm sure it would be pricey with shipping from South Africa. Does anyone know of another source.? Thanks
