Well, I think they call hot tomatoes, "salsa", and you can make peach, mango and strawberry salsa also. The fruit salsa's taste great with some balsamic vinegar along with the peppers for that kick! All you need is a bowl, a knife, and a spoon to mix it all up! Have fun!

are you sure, my brother in law is stating that he grew strawberries and bell peppers with a serrano plant and that he got hot strawberries and bell peppers.

okay both serrenos and bell peppers are annuums so i get that but strawberries?

I think your brother-in-law is pulling your leg. No way can strawberries cross with peppers and though bell and jalapeno can cross it would not affect the current peppers, only those grown from seed of the crossed pepper.

oh dang, i forgot what i posted about cross pollination won't effect current crop, only the seeds do. alright, thanks pepper people.

I don't think that crossing happened, but I sure wouldn't mind some spicy strawberries. :) They sound good. lol.

You are wrong....I have a Lantana flower plant that was next to a Birdseye pepper plant that had peppers all over my Lantana. It was just the weirdest thing. I didn't know that could happen.
