This looks like some member of section Plethiosphace, which includes meadow sage (Salvia pratensis), S. superba (the S. nemerosa from seed is more often referred to this way), S. transsylvanica, S. austriaca, S. jurisicii, and S. virgata.

I see the label thinks it might be S. virgata, which has lavender flowers. That was my guess on first sight, based on the relative width of the leaves.

Yes, I think it's S virgata (definitely not nemorosa, as you say). The red stems are a dead giveaway - the only other thing it could just possibly be is S pratensis var. haematodes, but the leaves look a bit too short and broad for that.

If it's S virgata you're lucky - this is ridiculously rare (in the UK at any rate) but it is a very easy, reliable flower-power plant - branching stems with lots of mid-purple flowers and not a lot of leaf, makes seed but doesn't seed around too much, grows quite happily in very poor soil, tolerates cold and quite a bit of wet but likes the sun. I hope you'll both have a long and happy relationship!

yeah I thought of that too pics don't look red of haematodes and some people consider virgata and pratensis synonyms,or the same thing I wanna get some seed so I can replicate it.
