sanseviera for seaside
My apartment faces south west on a corner less than a half a block from the beach near LA, so there is lots of salt- and sand-laden wind and lots of sun from dawn until early/mid-afternoon, though it rarely gets really hot. I have custom large window boxes (4'L by 12"W and 14" deep) on the railings of the decks. I used to fill them with a variety of perennials and annuals, which worked pretty well when I used to work out of my home and could water whenever they needed it. Now my husband and I have a office a few miles away and I need to plant hardy species with low water demands. I haven't as much experience with succulents as with other types of plants. Can anyone tell me if any type of sanseviera would do well under these conditions? Thank you so much!
