Aren't they also frost sensitive in z9 temps?

I don't know what variety I have. It was a goofy little houseplant sitting on our window sill for years. On a whim, I planted it outside and grew like crazy, producing many pups. I now have dozens of them planted all over the place. It produces a single stalk of yellow flowers that doesn't form a canopy like other aloe varieties (looks like a hand of tiny bananas). Flowering on this variety is also rare. The plant has to be at a very mature size before it'll flower, and even then it doesn't do it every year. Freeze/frost doesn't seem to harm them, but this is the first year I've planted any away from the house, and we had a mild winter. Anyway, it grows great in 9B!
