Blue Black Salvia

Hello,

I just joined the Garden Web after reading so many great replies about Blue Black Salvia! I planted three of these gorgeous plants late last summer and they seemed to be happy campers in the location. Now being a rookie I hope that I did not completely kill them off )-:

The reason I'm saying this is that in November I cut them down to about 1 inch high. I've noticed that there are some green leafs starting to show around the mound since we have been having many days in the 60's here in Loganville, Georgia. Does this mean that they are going to be ok and come back?

Should I fertilize them? Thanks for any and all suggestions.
