You might want to take a sample to a State testing Lab. The soil might have also had some --- oh rats! what's it called that kills plants -- something 'foliant.

I don't think it's the soil, I just noticed the dark spots on my Teresa. It seems to have started with the chillier weather? Is it a bit colder there too? I covered my plants with a sheet last night cause we had a frost predicted. The foliage on my hot lips also tinted a bit purple, I think they like hot weather better. So do I. ;-)

They might have messed up and put in to much Chiken Manure, that stuff is potent and can kill alot of plants if it's to strong. have it tested. If the test comes back real high in Nitrogen, just cut it with some plain old Sandy loam and use the rest as a VERY thin top dressing for your lawn. Note, I said VERY thin. your grass will love it. A lot of farmers like to use Urea ( chiken manure) as a fertilizer but they use it sparingly. a little goes a very long way.

was just gonna say that... most plants cannot tolerate something that is that hot... even grass will cook.
