Good for you, Meesh, and good luck with it. I bought one some time ago but it was in poor condition. Luckily it had a tiny pup, and as soon as I saw the bigger plant wasn't going to make it, I severed the baby and nursed it on since last summer; already it's the size of the mother that was.

Well Meesh and Marguerite, I also recently acquired a good-sized plant of 'Moonshine' with three healthy pups. I really like sans, and I am always looking for 'pups' on my favorites!

I found a single "moonshine" plant at a small nursery and then realized the large variety after visiting this website. I already had what most people think of as the only types of mother in law tongues; the tall, tall varigated the birds nest and birds nest varigated. It wasn't until Moonshine that I was interested in finding more and researching the plant. I think the Sansevieria club is about to grow with introductions like moonshine into the "wal-mart" population.

In the summer it loves the water, do not water in the vase of leaves it produces. During the winter cut way down on water, if any water at all, they do not like cold and water. This plant is more picky than other species.

Just wanted to give you an update on my walmart find. The moonshine sans i got at walmart in march, now my plant has two pups :D. They are growing very well. I will try and get a pic of my plant soon.
