wow Chanin! that is beautiful. so the original leaf cutting was not variegated, but the plant you got from the leaf cutting threw out a variegated pup? that's awesome!
i've been told that cuttings from variegated plants don't sprout variegated plants. but i guess that is not true the other way around.
I with I could get plants from Thailand, I don't know if our customs will allow them to come through, they are not on the CITES list. Do you have any information regarding this? Norma
Very beautiful downsii, Stephania! In addition to seeing the variegate plants, I'm also happy to see it with free root run. It's not nearly as vigorous in a pot! Your variegate is known as a mericlinal chimera. Imagine what it might look like if given free root run....
This is very interresting. Can you please tell me what soil mix you use Stephania. I am in Brisbane Australia and have just started with Sans. Our climate is sub tropical so I think similar to Thailand and probably similar soil would suit. Do you fertilise your plants? I would appreciate any advice you can give me re the growing of sans in pots. Thank you - Robyn
