I spoke too soon last night about the nice rain - the Heavens belched!
Savannah got hit hard with rain last night. The downtown flooded badly. From the Savannah Morning News:
"Along the 1600 block of East Henry Street, waters were so high, cars were floating and hitting the bottom of the overpass."
We didn't get hit quite as bad here where we are on the island, but we are a couple of feet above the rest of the island on our block. I did have a freaked out parrot here when a shepherd's crook with plant blew against the window screen, just inches from his cage on the other side of the window. I couldn't see what the problem was in the dark, but it's been fixed til Charley gets here, anyhow.
Hope all my friends here are ok and didn't suffer damage.
