From what I've read, propagation is by cuttings if you want to keep the same color. Otherwise, seeds may bring variable colors.

Try a few anyway...some might come true.

There is always a chance that you might get a better form! This happens quite frequently!

But, some might also be inferior.

Is it Salvia x jamensis `Pat Vlasto'? That is the best form I've seen for color.

I only this pic of my "fruity" S. x jamensis. Sometimes, it appears to be an apricot color, sometimes peachy....salmon? Whatever, I love it! :)

My best guess is Salvia greggii `San Takao', followed by `Lowry's Peach'. The latter is uniformly orange, though. `San Takao' does seem to change color a bit.

That's a beautiful pic..but this one is much lighter in color..was labeled apricot..I hate that, but was so pretty I couldn't resist..Robin in the UK has a peach on his web page..probably similiar to a peachy color..not the beautiful dark color in the pic.

Very pretty salvia pic. Last year I bought a dark peach color greggii, I'm pretty sure it was labeled Navajo salmon. I also had a purple with the Navajo label.
